Well, I survived my first "flu" with Cailen. I'm not sure if it was just a terrible form of the cold that I now have or if like the doctor thought she did have the flu. It was 4 days of fever (up to 103.9), one day of the "runs", head cold, loss of appetite... By the 3rd night I was in tears feeling so sad for her. She is better now, just dealing with the cough left over by post nasal drip. She's still getting her appetite back too, but she's healthy enough that I'm not freaking out. I haven't been posting pictures here simply because I opened a facebook.com account and the photos load SO MUCH faster there. So if you haven't seen my little woman's pics lately, come visit me at facebook.

As for me, I am 24 1/2 weeks pregnant and doing quite well this time around. I haven't updated on this site, but the belief is that we are having a girl. I may have more confirmation on wednesday we'll see.

Our house is still on the market. People are looking on wednesday while we are at the doctor. Hopefully they will have interest enough to make us an offer. We are very eager to sell this house. We just want a fresh slate and Financial Peace!!

Kris is on a big high today as are most men in New York state... the Giants won! Kris has always been a big fan so this was a good game for him :)

I feel bad. With Cailen's pregnancy I took pics of my belly profile every couple of weeks and even made an album. With this one, I haven't taken a single prego photo.... taking pictures of Cailen is far more important to me than ones of my stomach! But then there's the fact that I crocheted a blanket for Cailen while I was pregnant and now I feel I would never find the chance for such a thing for the next baby.... Am I a terrible mom? Oh well, that's just what I was thinking about...

Just saying hello

We'll have more pics of Miss Cailen up soon enough, but for now here's one from the archives. It seems that she is so animated and silly that most of our media of her right now is going on the ol' video camera. Someday maybe we'll figure out how to load some of those footages....

So a little update... I am now almost 18 weeks pregnant and doing quite well. I have some gagging issues on random days, smells, turtleneck sweaters, scarfs, rooms that are too hot, too cold... may set me off. I've found as long as I sit down and have breakfast asap upon waking I don't have the morning sickness I had when I had Cailen in my belly.

The house seems to be moving from us very slowly. We've only had one person show interest/even come and look at the house, but they do have some interest. The only stipulations right now are major though. Their "only" questions are --is the house insulated? How much oil do we use per winter (this is a major set back, one reason we-now that I'm not working and we have a baby- can't afford to stay) and also they need to know zoning for business purposes I guess.... So if the zoning doesn't work for them, I guess the oil and insulation doesn't matter anyway. All I can say is, we need to sell this house quickly. We cannot afford to stay here anymore and it's getting kinda stressful for me. We need a miracle with this house sale. Please pray with us for a speedy release of this house from us and an offer that we can afford to accept.

Tomorrow, is actually a big day here in the house though. Kiersten is having her 22nd birthday here and she decided it should be a costume party. For a bunch of people on a tight budget, this should be interesting. Let's just say, we have some arts n' crafts to do tonight in preparation for this party. I'll post some pictures and let you all see how it turned out :) !

I'll post some more soon I hope!

Thanksgiving

We spend about four days at my mom's for thanksgiving. Lots of food, folks and fun as they say. Here's a couple of pics of us and Cailen with her cousins. Eventually she loosened up with them and got kinda silly with them.

HAS IT REALLY BEEN A YEAR?

Once upon a time my Cailen was a little tiny baby and now... SHE'S ONE YEAR OLD!!! So we threw her a big shabang Elmo style. Complete with most attendees wearing a red shirt. My menu for the day was based on Sesame Street people or places.... We had "Dorothy Crackers" (goldfish crackers), Rosita's Mexican dip, Mr. Hooper's Fruit Stand platter where the veggies attempted to look like Elmo, Zoe and Oscar; then we had Oscar's Garbage Bread, Cookie Monster's Letter of the Day Cookies, Mr. Noodle's Pasta and of course an Elmo's worldish cake made by moi. Thankfully my hubbie did last minute house cleaning, my mom brought the mex dip, Amanda P helped with last minute food prep and my bro & Kiersten got balloons filled and did a wonderful job fulfilling my vision for the decorations... The party was fun in my opinion... I really had a great time. It was really fun celebrating my "little nut" Cailen. She was very into everything that was going on, loved the decor, played with the kids, loved her new toys, I loved her new clothes. She managed to actually separate herself from me and be involved in her event. I actually kinda missed her she was being so independent *sigh* She wasn't ALL smiles and giggles, at times she looks lost in thought and slightly overwhelmed, but she held it together despite such a big event revolving around her. After the crazy amount of dessert she ate, she definately cracked a few smiles though. I was really happy with the party, I hope she and everyone else was too. :)

Halloween Party

We were invited to our friends Chris and Charlene Parent's Halloween Party. Everyone there had a costume except us. Oops! Chris's sister had an extra baby costume so Cailen quickly took on the identity of Minnie Mouse. She also got to play with a bubble machine while standing on the very edge of the table (don't worry, Kris was right next to her monitoring her.) She had fun with the bubbles though as most people might say of her "she looks so serious." Oh well. She was a bit taken aback at Kris's temporary get-up.... dorky huh? By the way, to all of you who read and haven't talked to us in a while. Our latest big news is that Cailen is going to be a big sister!! and we have our house on the market... :(
