My parents took 4 months to remodel their living room which I now call the "holy of holies" because we are no longer welcome to hang out in there. We've been deported to the family room. The new living room has a new carpet that cost upwards of $12oo or something... tre chic. So the rules are including but not limited to: no shoes, no drinks, no food, no children, no anyone who is not grammy or grandpa, no vomiting, no leaking diapers, no mud pits, no finger painting, no egg fights etc. You get my point. On occasion we have splurged in life and spend a few minutes in there "for old times sake." Well, two nights ago we were all hanging out in the kitchen and a certain girl friend of my brother's, who for privacy reasons will remain nameless, took Cailen in there to play... Cailen gave her a sticker or something.... a couple seconds later there's crying, she's carrying my child telling me that Cailen has a bloody nose and she doesn't know what happened... .apparently they accidently butt the top of their heads.... With Cailen's runny nose all week her nostrils may have been weak and irritable so she got a nose bleed. Of course, my mom's more worried about the rug, "Get her out of there!!" Mind you this is Cailen's second nose bleed, both at the hands of this nameless girl friend.... Later, my bro checked the rug, there was a drop of blood ON THE RUG!!!! So, anyway, thank you little ladies, the rug has officially been christened.
Secondly, my mom is always making baby blankets. At some point, my hubbie spilled a drink, it got on the blanket that is almost finished. Juicy Juice... I rinsed it, hung it to dry. I think it's fine but I failed to mention it to my mom until after the blood incident. I was all "Oh, by the way...." I think it smells quite lovely though.
Thirdly, Kris went to change for the day. Cailen followed him to the room. There was a brand new roll of silver fancy wrapping paper in the room. She picked up the roll and started to sing the chorus to "The Solution" .. "Woah, oh ohhhhh..." through the tube.... Kris turned around and before he knew it, she was stuffing her makeshift microphone in the guest bathroom toilet!
